Frank “Big Hurt” Thomas. That’s who. Nugenix went out and got former MLB All-Star Frank Thomas to market for their product. They ran a ton of commercials.

Simply said: Nugenix is a testosterone booster that (apparently) Frank Thomas now uses to aid his personal workouts. I’m sure his 6’5″ frame was really getting skinny after he stopped playing major league baseball.

Ok, but seriously, aside from the marketing of this product – which is either impressive or concerning depending on your point of view – this product has some positive reviews online. So it does have an effect. I have to point out that it will not turn you into Frank Thomas. Now that the obvious has been stated and your expectations lowered back to normal, maybe you can see it for what it is: a mild-to-moderate aphrodisiac with some elements that may or may not have any effect at all.

In addition, they offer a 14 day trial offer, but also use an “auto-bill” / “auto-ship” feature that automatically bills you $64.99 + $4.99 S&H each month thereafter until you call them to cancel. This, for me, is not the best way to do business and is one of the reasons that I ranked it lower on my list (despite my love of Frank Thomas). You’ll see it all the way down at #3 on my list, but you can get a nearly identical product for much cheaper with a much better money back guarantee if you check out my #1 selection: Boost XT.

THE BOTTOM LINE

Boost XT has the active ingredients you want -- and in higher amounts. Other brands use more ingredients, many of which have little to no effect at all. Boost XT was formulated by a physician who didn't want to add ingredients that would pass right through without helping. What you get is a potent formula with very few risks.

The customer support was very helpful and their 90 day, risk free money back guarantee was best-in-class! In addition, they don't require you to sign up for "auto-billing" or buy 3 or 6 months at a time... although you have that option.

  • Noxitril 7.6/10

PROS:

CONS:

THE BOTTOM LINE

Noxitril is a widely marketed product that came in second because it has some ingredients which may not have the desired effect and the cost was considerably more. There are a large group of people who have tried this product and some of the reviews reveal that it can underperform - especially at this price point. There is a 30 day money back guarantee for your first purchase.

You should also know that "Noxitril" used to be called "Vylexia," and apparently the company just switched names and ran with the same website and ads out of the gate. They've cleaned up their online presence so it is now harder to find this out, but this is just a previously sold and now re-branded product. I wonder why it didn't sell so well the first time...

After finishing his MD he began his residency in Laboratory Medicine where he gained first hand knowledge of some of the effects of dietary supplements. Dr. Lancia now specializes in gastrointestinal health. Over the years of vigorous study and in-depth experimenting with a variety of dietary supplements Dr. Nick found that there are few sources of clear, evidence-backed, honest information about what the supplements can help achieve - and what they cannot. There are many companies out there selling promises without providing results.

Dr. Nick's goal is to educate the general public and do his part to help the world get healthy again. The industry needed an honest educated practitioner to reveal the real benefits of specific dietary supplements and to dig into the formulas without bias and companies selling these formulas to reveal the true Pros and Cons of each supplement and to educate the general public about these ingredients found in various dietary supplements. Dr. Nick promoting general health and proper use of nutritional supplements is step one of the goal. In order to get the best effects without wasting time and money, a proper understanding of chemistry and human physiology are critically important. Since not everyone has the time to master these topics, Dr. Nick hopes to help clarify otherwise complicated topics and give the best, clear, evidence-backed input to help each person select the most appropriate supplements.
